The future of the staffing industry looks bright, with staffing expected to grow by at least six percent in 2014!

According to the American Staffing Association (ASA), staffing companies and employees create the following benefits to our workforce:

– 90% of staffing client businesses say that staffing companies create flexibility and opportunity to keep a full staff during peak busy seasons

– 80% of staffing clients also say that staffing firms help them find the right candidates that can become full-time employees

– 88% of staffing company employees think that contract/temporary work made them more employable

– 66% of staffing company employees agree that having flexible work schedules and hours are important to them

A study conducted in 2013 by the software company Intuit, estimates that 40 percent of the U.S. workforce (more than 60 million people) will be employed as contractors or temporary workers by 2020.  Some will work as contractors by choice – valuing flexibility, higher pay, etc.  However, the trend that emerged, is that employers in almost every industry are weighing the cost of providing health care, other amenities, as well as government rules and regulations. The future therefore looks particularly bright for those in the staffing industry!
