We are excited to announce Lauren Milam is a 2020 Finalist in the Women in Sales Awards – North America!
Encouraging diversity in the workplace is increasingly seen as a way of making companies stronger in the modern business environment. One key area of diversity is encouraging women to enter and excel in traditionally male-dominated fields. Sales is one such arena.Sales is the lifeblood of every company. However, it is still very heavily male-dominated. The Women in Sales Awards has been created to bring a greater awareness of the need for gender diversity in sales and in executive leadership teams, as well as help grow the pipeline of sales talent. The awards are an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of women in sales roles. The Winners and finalists will be recognized at an awards ceremony in June 2020 in Chicago where their excellence will be celebrated.
The awards is an opportunity to celebrate the positive achievements of women in sales roles; and as a company highlights your leadership in diversity and inclusion. This award is given to only a select few in all of North America! Our very own Regional Vice President, Lauren Milam has been selected as a finalist in the “BEST WOMAN SALES DIRECTOR” category! Lauren is the perfect example of a woman deserving of this award. Her robust experience and accomplishment list is a huge reason why, but more so we value her selflessness and willingness to go above and beyond for her team and our company. Her MAIN focus day in & day out, is creating the strongest teams within our organization, while at the same time focusing on company growth. Everything she touches produces massive results. She is truly skilled at what she does.
She started in the staffing industry in 2013 (TEKsystems) where she started to gain her sales experience. In 2014 (PrideStaff), she traveled the country and helped open new offices and train the employees on sales and recruiting. Her results were amazing, helping 6 brand new offices achieve the coveted 5-Star Award – a huge recognition for new offices. In May of 2017 (PrideStaff), she was promoted to Vice President where she was given full responsibility over 13 staffing offices. Her first year in the role, she was able to achieve the top award President’s Circle Award where she helped the region grow by 17%. In 2019, after joining Hire Up as their Regional Vice President, Lauren was awarded and recognized for 40 under 40 Business Professionals for Central California.
Since being at Hire Up, she has created and implemented new sales campaigns and initiatives to help the company grow – these campaigns are taking off and we are seeing dramatic results and growth. She does this by creating individual plans that focus on the individual needs of each office. Weekly meetings with her Territory Directors help her track each office and individuals progress. Lauren really enjoys “getting down in the trenches” with each employee that she trains and mentors. She leads by example and will sit in and conduct sales calls with them and work with them individually until they get where they need to be. She is very hands on and is always innovating new ways and strategies for our team to to be successful in their roles. She has accomplished all of this before the age of 30 and all while being a single mom. We’re excited she has made as a finalist for this award – she truly deserves to win!
