Meet Bailey Spriggs, our Recruiting Manager in our Houston office. Bailey stepped into the Staffing Industry in 2018, and has been loving every minute of it! She is a dedicated professional to her candidates and clients. Bailey enjoys making new connections daily, as well as seeing her candidates succeed in their roles.

In her free time, she loves to watch football with her family and friends. She likes to take road trips or hike a new trail with her dog. Bailey also enjoys volunteering in her community to help her endless pursuit of making new connections daily.

Meet Shelby – Our Austin Recruiting Manager

Meet Shelby, our Recruiting Manager in our Austin, Texas office. Shelby was born and raised in Colorado but moved to Texas in 2012. She has been in the staffing industry for 3 years now.  Shelby has been an office admin and branch manager of a fast-growing temporary agency. She left that role and is now a Recruiting Manager at Hire Up Staffing connecting great employers with great employees. Before entering the staffing industry, Shelby was a Solution Sales Specialist for the West Texas and New Mexico area for various oil and gas companies.

In her free time, she spends most of her free time playing RPGs and first shooter games on Xbox. Shelby also enjoys reading fantasy books and watching sci-fi movies. Her favorite is Star Wars.

Aileen Soares – Promotion to Assistant Territory Director

Hire Up Staffing is pleased to announce Aileen’s promotion to Assistant Territory Director for the East Bay office! Aileen’s background includes 8 years in retail with 6 years of retail management and retail recruiting. She spent 4 years in talent sourcing and placement for reputable staffing agencies in Silicon Valley and has 2 years doing sales and operations in the fitness industry.

Aileen is a relationship-driven professional with experience in talent sourcing, talent placement, and sales. She enjoys getting to know clients through straightforward and laughter-filled conversations. Connecting available talent with open positions in the Bay Area brings her joy as she gets to participate in someone’s career journey while adding a valuable person to a company’s community.

Aileen has personally placed 7 people in February, bringing her total to 10 since the new year started.  The East Bay branch began bringing in gross profit in January and, so far, has doubled that number in February. Aileen and her team show growth, and she looks forward to leading them as they continue building relationships with clients in East Bay and the surrounding Bay Area cities.

Meet Jonathon – Our Accounts Receivable Coordinator

Meet Jonathon, our Accounts Receivable Coordinator in the Corporate office of Hire Up Staffing Services. Jonathan has an associate’s degree in Sociology from Fresno City Community College and is currently working on his bachelor’s at California State University.

He is also currently serving in the California National Guard. His unit is 1-184 A Co-based in Visalia, California.

Meet Denise – Our Executive Coordinator

Meet Denise, our Executive Coordinator in our Corporate office! Denise is a Valley native and proud Bulldog. She received her bachelor’s degree in 2015 from Fresno State in Business Marketing. After about 7 years in the banking industry, Denise decided to make the switch to staffing. She had the pleasure of working for another staffing firm prior to Hire Up, where she worked in their marketing department. Her areas of focus were managing vendor relationships, developing and managing internal awards programs and sales campaigns. Denise learned a lot about staffing and was able to really refine her marketing skills.

 In Denise’s free time, she enjoys hanging out with her husband, family, and friends. She loves traveling, eating delicious food, and playing with her pup Frito. Denise is excited to be joining a growing company like Hire Up; she can’t wait to see where this takes her!

California’s Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grants

The amount of grant funding ranges from $5,000 to $25,000. The grant amount is based on your annual revenue as documented in your most recent tax return. Businesses with as little as $1,000 or as much as $2,500,000 in revenue can apply. Please note the important application dates below.

Applications open December 30, 2020 at 8am PST

Applications close January 8, 2021 at 11:59pm PST

Start of approval notifications January 13, 2021

Also, small and medium sized businesses operating in Fresno can apply for low fixed rate loans through the City of Fresno and are administered by the Cen Cal Business Finance Group.

Gil Salcido Promotion to Territory Director

Gil joined Hire Up in 2020 as a Recruiting Manager after 3+ years of running his own staffing company. His experience includes over a decade of talent acquisition with both Corporate and agency recruiting in various verticals such as Mortgage, I.T., Financial, Executive, light Industrial and many more.

Gil is a result driven Talent Acquisition leader with high energy and a passion for sourcing and recruiting top talent. He has a strong track record in developing insights and recruiting strategies that drive employers’ brand and consistently achieve talent agenda goals. Successful advisor, collaborator and manages the needs of clients’ objectives and key business initiatives. Skilled at leveraging multiple industry experiences, practices, and programs to create a competitive advantage for any employer.

Martin Medina Promotion to Assistant Territory Director

Hire Up Staffing Services is pleased to announce the promotion of Martin Medina to Assistant Territory Director of the Fort Worth, Texas office! Martin started with Hire Up in August 2020 and right after his first week of training he had gotten multiple placements. One of his goals and achievements upon his arrival was to reach “Platinum Level” of training during his first 90 days of employment. Martin sealed the deal with a big client who is now giving Hire Up business from other states all the way from Fort Worth virtually. Martin currently has taken initiative to guide and lead his newest team members in the Fort Worth office and is excited to lead them to success.

Martin started his journey in the staffing industry in June 2019. He started as an IT Digital & Creative Recruiter and fell in love with the staffing business. He is truly passionate about the industry because of the rewarding feeling of aligning candidates with their dream job and vice versa helping clients find the most ideal top-quality talent. His drive comes from his collaborative team members coupled with positive reinforcement and recognition from his leaders.

Before Martin was conquering the staffing world, he was the first in his family to graduate from a university and first to become an American Citizen. Martin received his Bachelors in Business Admin with a Human Resources Management degree from Tarleton State University. Martin has a second job on the weekends as a bartender at Reservoir, a local sports bar in Fort Worth. In his free time when he is not working both of his jobs, he enjoys spending time with his daughter and his family. Martin firmly believes in Ricky Bobby’s motto, “If you ain’t first, you’re last.”

Madison McCoog Promotion to Territory Director

Hire Up Staffing Services is pleased to announce the promotion of Madison McCoog to Territory Director of the Houston, Texas office! Madison started with Hire Up in July 2020 and in a few short months has played an enormous role in putting the Houston office on the map. Madison has brought in the two largest clients for the Texas region and the Houston office is now one of the top 3 offices in the company.

Madison started her journey in the staffing industry several years ago and she hasn’t turned back once. She is truly passionate about the industry because of the rewarding feeling she has when she helps a company find the right employee and helps an eager candidate find their dream job. Her drive comes from having the experience of knowing how exhausting it can be to find the right person for the job or trying to find the right company to hire you.

Before Madison was conquering the staffing world, she dedicated her life to collegiate volleyball where she fell in love with the competitive lifestyle. Madison knows what it takes to compete to accomplish her goals and her clients goals. She confidently says she does not believe in “second best” and doesn’t believe her clients should either. Meet Gil Salcido, Recruiter for the Dallas office of Hire Up Staffing Services. He joined the team in November of 2020 with a strong recruiting background. Gil aims to be a solution to any staffing need, whether it be a urgent staffing demand on short notice or a hard to hire area. Overall his passion is people, he has a true need to help! It may be a candidate who is simply looking for a new work environment or possibly an employer who has experienced growth and is looking to hire additional staff, Gil is always happy to step in to provide the perfect match!

Gil spends his free time with his family, his wonderful wife Camilla, their Seven year old daughter, four year old son and their two dogs! When he is not spending time with his family you can find him on his boat fishing the day away. Gil loves to visit the central coast in California, with the rolling hills and coastal line, the beauty captures him every time! His dream and obsession is to open a goat and bee farm, Gillygoats and Gilbees to be exact!
