Featured March Client — The Foundation for Medical Care
We love our clients and want to show it! Each month we select one client to introduce in hopes that we help spread the word about their brand, services, and how they impact the Central Valley! This month we would like to introduce The Foundation for Medical Care of Tulare and Kings Counties! It was established in 1959 as a not-for-profit service organization. This foundation was established for the purpose of promoting the private practice of medicine, and to provide quality care at a reasonable cost. This wonderful organization specializes in administration of self-funded health benefit plans. They also offer a variety of computerized systems and other administrative services.

Understanding New Drug and Alcohol Policy Updates
Up until a few years ago, the terms of company drug and alcohol policies were pretty straight forward. In 2016 a law was passed in California making the private use of marijuana legal. This new law caused a lot of confusion for employees and we want to share some information to help.
While marijuana may be legal by law, it specifically does not change the legal status between employers and employees when it comes to drug testing and employment. This means that an employee can still be terminated for usage of marijuana. We recommend taking the time to look over your employer’s most recently updated drug and alcohol policy.
If you are an employee of Hire Up Staffing you know that we are committed to ensuring a substance-abuse free working environment for all of our employees through implementation and enforcement of a Substance Abuse Prevention Policy. For more details and to better understand our guidelines, please

Thanks For Participating in Our 12 Days of Giving
A special thanks goes out to all the people and companies who participated in our 12 Days of Giving campaign this year. We raised awareness for local charities and helped them get closer to their goals. Overall we were able to make the holidays a lot brighter for many in need here in the Central Valley! Scroll down to see all of the companies and charities we were able to support with your help!
12th Day of Giving – Sinclair
The 12th Day of Giving is finally here and has been a special day for all of us at Hire Up. We chose to support Sinclair in their drive for Valley Children’s Hospital. Their entire team is working hard to collect games and toys for all of the young patients staying at the hospital during Christmas. Valley Children’s Hospital has been a staple in the Central Valley — providing pediatric care since 1949. Over the years, they’ve treated thousands and saved the lives of even more. From tiny premature babies all the way to young adults, all youngsters are accepted as patients here. Some of the kids at Valley Children’s spend will spend most of their lives in the hospital. When the holidays come around, little acts of kindness like this help to light up their hearts. We all know that medical bills can be costly, so every little gift helps to lift these kids spirits. Want to donate? We hope you will! Contact Kim by email: [email protected] or by phone: 559-233-4500. Thank you for being a part of our 12 Days of Giving!
11th Day of Giving – FreshKO Produce
There are only 13 days until Christmas and that means just 2 days left in our 12 Days of Giving campaign! That makes today the 11th day and we chose to support FreshKO Produce in their drive to collect toys for Toys for Tots. This seems to be one of the most popular charities in the Central Valley this year. With all of our support, Toys for Tots is able to help an abundance of children in need! Today we delivered a big back of toys to FreshKO’s office. If you are interested in supporting their drive, contact Kim by email: [email protected]
Remember, any donation — big or small will make a difference. Keep in mind that Toys for Tots requests new, unopened, unwrapped toys! Thank you in advance for your involvement and support.
