10th Day of Giving – Family Healthcare Network
Did you hear? Christmas is almost here and we’re helping others spread the cheer! We’ve selected 12 different companies who are doing great things for others this holiday season. We are supporting each of them in our 12 Days of Giving by helping to spread the word about their charity and in addition, our Hire Up elves donate to each of their drives! Today is day 10 and we’ve chosen Family Healthcare Network in their drive to collect toys, blankets, and clothing for local families in need. Have a blanket to give? How about toys or clothes? Contact Josette Romero Guzman by email for more information: [email protected]

6th Day of Giving – Bank of the Sierra
Can you believe we’re already at the halfway mark of our annual 12 Days of Giving campaign? That sure went by fast, but don’t worry, you still have time to make a difference! Our goal with the 12 Days of Giving is to support 12 different companies in the Valley that are doing great things for others this holiday season. We want to spread the word in hopes that it inspires others to help out as well! Today is the 6th Day of Giving and we are supporting Bank of the Sierra in their toy drive for Toys for Tots. Their charity drive ended today and we’re excited to announce that this year their donation goal was reached! A special thanks goes out to everyone who supported Bank of the Sierra’s toy drive.
If you are in the giving mood and or feeling like making a difference this Christmas, take a look at the other amazing causes we’ve covered over the last 5 days:
5th Day of Giving – Weir Floway
On the 5th Day of Giving, our Hire Up Elves chose to support Weir Floway. Their annual toy drive collects donations for the well-known organization, Toys for Tots! A fun and amazing fact about Toys for Tots is that they collected their first donation in 1947, making this year their 70th anniversary! This U.S. Marine Corps foundation raised close to $280 million in 2016. Each year that number increases, enabling them to help more and more children during the holidays! With companies like Weir Floway helping collect donations and spread the word, Toys for Tots is able to achieve their goal of helping less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas.
We at Hire Up love this charity and invite you to donate! They are accepting donations of all sizes, just make sure the toys are new and still in their packages. If you want to drop off a donation, visit Weir Floway at 2494 S Railroad Ave., Fresno, CA 93706. They will be collecting toys Monday through Friday, from 9-4pm. If you have more questions, please contact Catrina by email: [email protected] or by phone: 559-442-4000.

We chose to support Western Milling/OHK Logistics in their efforts to provide toys to all of the deserving children at Goshen Elementary School! Their goal is to make the holidays a little bit brighter for these students.
Western Milling/OHK Logistics will be collecting toys between now and the end of this week, as the school goes on winter break starting Friday the 8th. Our Hire Up elves brought a bag full of toys today and invite you to do the same. Remember, no donation is too big or too small… anything makes a difference. 3rd Day of Giving – Community Medical Providers
We searched high and low for charities that really stood out to us and found this amazing cause that Community Medical Provides is supporting. They are collecting coats for the homeless to support Christian Motorcycle Association’s annual charity. This year Community Medical Providers is asking for warm coats of all sizes. These will help homeless women and men in your community that cannot afford to purchase their own. With temperatures dropping down to the 30’s some nights this winter, these coats will provide much needed warmth to many. A little donation goes a long way! We invite you to support this charity. To get involved contact Rhonda by email at: [email protected] or by phone at: Phone: 559-437-7348

2nd Day of Giving – Adventist Medical Center
On the 2nd day of giving our Hire Up elves worked hard to spread the cheer. They decided to help a company who’s doing amazing things this year! Adventist Medical Center’s annual holiday charity drive is “Adopt a Family”. They are collecting donations for entire families in need. The items requested are drawing books (pink), trains, coloring books (pink), socks (women’s size 10), blankets, and boots (size 10). Inexpensive items like these go a long way for the parents and children throughout the cold winter months.
