At Hire Up, we recently had the opportunity to celebrate Bring Your Kids to Work Day, welcoming the children of our employees into our offices to learn more about the workplace and the many career paths available to them in the future. Seeing so many bright, curious young minds inspired an important conversation about how we can continue supporting students beyond a single day.
That experience sparked the idea for our School Supply Drive, an initiative focused on helping students start the school year prepared and ready to succeed.
As the new school year approaches, many families are preparing for the expenses that come with getting their children ready for the classroom. Something as simple as a notebook, a box of pencils, or a backpack can make a meaningful difference in a student’s confidence and ability to learn. Through this initiative, we hope to help ease that burden and provide support to families in the communities we serve.
From July 17 through August 17, Hire Up offices will be collecting new school supplies for students in need. We invite our employees, clients, candidates, and community partners to join us by donating items such as:
- Notebooks
- Pencils
- Pens
- Crayons
- Markers
- Colored pencils
- Highlighters
- Erasers
- Glue sticks
- Folders
- Binders
- Backpacks
- Loose-leaf paper
- Pencil boxes and pouches
Donations can be dropped off at any Hire Up office. Please connect with your local office for details about collection locations and hours.
After the drive concludes, all donated supplies will be delivered to local Community Action Agencies, where they will be distributed to students and families throughout the communities we serve.
