At Hire Up, our Foundation Pillar recognition celebrates team members who consistently model the principles that strengthen our culture and drive our success. This pillar, we are proud to recognize Cathy as our Foundation Pillar inspired by Chapter 3 of Atomic Habits: How to Build Better Habits in 4 Simple Steps.
Chapter 3 explains that all habits follow the same pattern: cue, craving, response, and reward. Understanding this loop is the first step to building better habits. When we recognize what triggers our behaviors and why we repeat them, we gain the power to change them intentionally.
Cathy demonstrates this awareness in the way she approaches her work each day.
She is thoughtful about her routines and intentional in how she responds to challenges. By recognizing what leads to success, with clear communication, follow-through, preparation, and consistency, she reinforces habits that support both her role and the broader team. Her actions are purposeful, not automatic, and that awareness allows her to continuously improve.
What sets Cathy apart is her understanding that small actions matter. She shows up even when it’s difficult, completes the small tasks that move work forward, and maintains routines that create momentum. These behaviors may seem simple, but over time, they create meaningful rewards: trust from clients, confidence from candidates, and reliability within our team.
Chapter 3 of Atomic Habits reminds us that habits don’t change by accident — they change when we become aware of the loop driving our behavior and choose better responses. Cathy models this principle consistently. Her habits support our systems, strengthen our standards, and contribute to the culture we are intentionally building at Hire Up.
We are grateful for the example Cathy sets and the impact she makes through her daily choices. Congratulations on being our Foundation Pillar Winner. Your awareness, consistency, and commitment to better habits are making a lasting difference.
