Every year, our team proudly joins Houstonians across the region in celebrating Go Texan Day. This beloved tradition marks the kickoff of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLSR). From cowboy hats to boots to all things western, this festive day is more than just a chance to dress up. It is a celebration of Texas heritage and a powerful reminder of the good that happens when a community comes together.
Why Go Texan Day Matters to Us
Our team looks forward to Go Texan Day every year. Yes, we love the fun, the outfits, and the spirit of the day, but what we appreciate even more is what the day represents.
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is one of the largest scholarship providers in the country, supporting thousands of young Texans as they pursue higher education. Since its founding, HLSR has committed more than 600 million dollars to scholarships, educational programs, and youth initiatives. When we celebrate Go Texan Day, we are honoring an organization that invests in the future of our community.
That is something truly worth celebrating.
Our Team’s Connection to HLSR
Our Houston team also has a personal connection to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. One of our own, Emily Hebert, Executive Payroll Coordinator, is a proud volunteer member with HLSR. This year marks her third year volunteering with the organization.
Her involvement reflects what so many Houstonians love about HLSR. The Rodeo brings people together, encourages service, and supports a mission that helps students across Texas thrive. We are grateful to have team members who give their time to causes that strengthen our community.
