At Hire Up, we believe that staying connected to our communities and industry partners is an important part of what we do. Through professional organizations, networking events, and volunteer opportunities, our team continues to build relationships, stay informed on industry trends, and support causes that make a difference. Throughout July, our team participated in several events that allowed us to connect, serve, and represent Hire Up in the communities we proudly support.
Central California SHRM Meeting
On July 15, Gabriela attended the Central California SHRM meeting, where HR professionals from across the region gathered to discuss current workplace topics, share best practices, and connect with fellow industry leaders. Events like these provide valuable opportunities to learn from others in the profession and stay up to date on the challenges and opportunities impacting today’s workforce.
Gabriela will also be attending another Central California SHRM event on July 23 as she continues to strengthen relationships within the HR community and bring valuable insights back to our team.
American Cancer Society Meeting & Volunteer Service
On July 16, Rebecca attended an American Cancer Society meeting and volunteered by helping provide meals for committee members supporting the organization’s efforts throughout the community. The American Cancer Society plays a vital role in funding cancer research, advocating for cancer patients, and providing support services for individuals and families facing a cancer diagnosis.
Rebecca’s involvement was a meaningful way to support those who dedicate their time to advancing the organization’s mission. Community partnerships like these help create positive change and make important resources available to those who need them most.
Volunteering with The Ballard House
On July 18, Emily volunteered with The Ballard House, preparing and serving breakfast for residents staying at the facility. The Ballard House provides temporary housing for patients and families who must travel away from home to receive medical treatment, helping ease some of the financial and emotional stress that can come with a medical journey.
By volunteering her time, Emily helped create a warm and welcoming experience for residents during what can often be a difficult season of life. Whether through a home-cooked meal or a friendly conversation, volunteers play an important role in helping families feel supported and cared for during their stay.
Looking Ahead
Our team is looking forward to several upcoming opportunities to connect with professionals and business leaders throughout the summer.
On July 24, Kali will be attending a Gulf Coast Chamber event, where local business professionals will come together to build relationships, share ideas, and support the growth of the business community.
We are also excited to be a sponsor at the HR Houston Conference on August 5 and 6. Hire Up will have a booth at the event, and Rebecca and Chloe will be there representing our team.
