Local food manufacturing has an immediate opening for a Quality Assurance Supervisor. Qualified applicants will have a degree in Microbiology, Food Science, or a related field. This is a second shift position, but would require candidate to occasionally work first or third shift. Salary is based on experience, with a range of $45K to $58K per year.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

-Supervises Plant Quality System requirements

-Reviews activiites to ensure conformance to specifications

-Monitors and guarantees that products are being manufactured in conformance with GMOPs and Food Safety Practices

-Supervises daily activities of the technicians and assures the proper training in Safety, Food Safety, and Quaility Systems.

-Reviews and updates work aids

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

-Quality Assurance experience

-Knowledge in HACCP and Food Safety Programs

-Knowledge of statistics preferred

-Good communication skills.
