One of the most important things I’ve learned as a leader is this: a company’s success or failure always comes down to its people. You can have the best business plan, the latest technology, and all the big goals in the world—but without the right team behind you, nothing moves forward. Our people are Hire Up. They’re the reason our clients keep coming back, the reason candidates trust us, and the reason I love what I do every single day.
A strong team is crucial for company growth; success often hinges on the collective effort and collaboration of its members. Teamwork, trust, and a shared vision create a thriving environment where incredible things can be achieved. As Henry Ford once said, “Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.” Michael Jordan summed it up perfectly: “Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships.” I am beyond blessed to have a team here at Hire Up that embodies these values every day.
So today, I want to pause and celebrate this amazing group of humans I get to work with. Every one of them brings something unique to the table, and I couldn’t do what I do without them. To make this fun, I’ve given each person a little “code name” that sums up their superpower on our team.
Alisha – “The Company Compass”
Alisha is our Office Coordinator, the one who quietly routes everything for the entire company. She’s like the GPS that never fails you—always chipper, always reliable, and always pointing us in the right direction. Even on her quieter days, she somehow knows exactly what’s needed before you even ask. She keeps the office moving like clockwork, ensuring nothing ever falls through the cracks, and she does it all with the kind of positivity that makes every day brighter.
Ashlee – “The Silent Strategist”
Our Recruiting Manager covering Modesto to the Bay Area, Ashlee is the kind of person you instantly trust with anything. She may be a little more reserved, but when she speaks, you know every word is well thought out and backed with wisdom. She gets things done flawlessly, never missing a detail, and she’s one of those rare people you can lean on 100%—no questions asked. Her calm, collected demeanor keeps everything running smoothly even on the busiest days.
Calvin – “The Rookie Natural”
Though Calvin only joined us this year, you’d think he’s been recruiting forever. He’s taken to it like a duck to water, finding amazing people and helping us build stronger teams every week. He has this way of connecting with everyone quickly, making them feel comfortable, and he’s always willing to jump in and help wherever needed. His eagerness to learn and grow has made him an invaluable part of the team in no time.
Carrie Bryson – “The OG Sunshine”
Carrie has been here since day one—over 15 years ago—and she is truly the soul of Hire Up. She knows the company inside and out, probably better than anyone (and could win any trivia game about our history). But what makes Carrie special isn’t just her knowledge, it’s her energy. She is pure positivity—a ray of sunshine who makes every day brighter, lifting everyone’s spirits just by being herself.
Cathy – “The ChatGPT Mastermind”
Cathy is one of the most kindhearted and considerate people on our team. She has this incredible ability to remember everything about everyone and genuinely cares enough to ask about the little details. Her thoughtfulness makes every interaction feel meaningful. She’s also our unofficial ChatGPT expert, always jumping in to find creative solutions and help others with tech or brainstorming needs, making the team better every day.
Charity – “The Go-Getter General”
Charity is the one who takes command when needed, never afraid to step up and help. She has a strong, supportive nature that makes people feel safe and confident in their roles. Her determination and energy are unmatched, and she has this way of pushing projects over the finish line without breaking a sweat. She’s always ready to tackle challenges head-on, inspiring the rest of us to keep moving forward.
Emily – “The Office Glue”
Emily is truly the glue that holds us all together. Not only is she our spreadsheet master, but she’s also incredibly smart and resourceful, keeping everyone organized and on track. She ties things together in a way that ensures nothing gets lost or overlooked. Sweet as can be, she’s like a mini version of Carrie, spreading kindness while making sure the whole operation stays connected and strong.
Kali – “The Dedicated Dynamo”
Kali is one of the most well-rounded teammates you could ask for. She’s thorough, passionate, and always delivers on her promises. You can trust her with anything and know it’ll be done right the first time. Her drive and reliability make her a model teammate, and her ability to stay focused while keeping a positive attitude sets the bar high for the rest of us.
Kayla – “The Reminder Rock”
Kayla is one of the most reliable people you’ll ever meet. You never have to wonder if she’s completed something—she’s already on top of it. She understands every step of every process and doesn’t let important things slip through the cracks, often reminding me of tasks before I even realize I forgot them. She’s a true anchor in keeping us organized and ahead of schedule.
Monica – “The Fresno Force”
Monica is someone I feel truly lucky to have leading the Fresno team. She’s always growing, always learning, and never afraid to ask the questions that lead to new ideas and improvements. Her willingness to innovate and think outside the box is inspiring. On top of that, she’s incredibly considerate and helpful, making everyone around her feel supported and appreciated.
Myra – “The Office Spark”
Myra is our resident goofball, always ready with a funny comment or story that brightens the day. She has a natural gift for lifting the mood in the office, making stressful days a little lighter for everyone. Beyond the humor, she’s also a great teammate who works hard and cares about those around her. She’s a big reason why our office feels like a fun, welcoming place.
Nicole – “The Boss Brain”
Nicole is probably the strongest and most well-rounded of them all. She thinks like a business owner and leads just the same, always stepping up to help wherever she can. She’s phenomenal at training others, sharing her knowledge freely, and supporting the team. With a memory like an elephant and a thoughtful nature, she makes working with her an absolute pleasure for everyone on the team.
Renata – “The Medical Guru”
Renata is our resident expert in all things medical staffing, and her knowledge is unmatched. She says she’s a realist, but I’d argue she’s one of the most positive thinkers on the team. Even in tough situations, she brings a breath of fresh air and reminds everyone how to stay professional and optimistic. She’s the one who constantly helps us reset our mindset when things get overwhelming.
Shannon – “The Organized Heart”
Shannon is our office mom, always looking out for everyone and making sure we have what we need. She manages our accounting with precision and care under Carrie’s direction, keeping everything in perfect order. Her knack for thinking of the things others overlook is a lifesaver, and her creative ideas often make everyone’s work easier. Having her keep our finances straight gives us all peace of mind.
Tara – “The Field Funmaker”
Tara is simply fun to work with. If you spend a day with her in the field, you’ll be laughing every 30 minutes and the day will fly by. She brings joy and lightness to even the busiest, most hectic days, making her presence a real morale booster. Her personality makes every collaboration enjoyable and keeps our team spirit strong..
Tayvion – “The Idea Engineer”
Tayvion is an intellectual thinker with a passion for helping the team succeed. Always innovating new ideas for IT or marketing, he’s constantly asking where else he can contribute. He’s a supportive teammate who doesn’t just think big but also rolls up his sleeves to make ideas happen. His creativity and willingness to assist make him a key part of our success.
Every one of these incredible people makes Hire Up what it is today. The staffing industry has its ups and downs, but I truly believe we’ve been brought to this moment with this exact team for a reason. After 15+ years of building Hire Up under strong, women-led leadership, we’ve been left with the very best of the best. This team isn’t just carrying us forward—they’re the ones who will lead us into our next milestones, raising the bar for what success in staffing looks like.
