May 10th, 2026 marks 16 official years of Hire Up Staffing Services, and when I look back at where this journey started, it’s honestly hard to put into words everything these years have taught me. What began as a small three-person team in California’s Central Valley has evolved into a company that has served businesses and job seekers across the country through Hire Up Staffing, Hire Up Healthcare, and Hire Up Executive. We’ve experienced incredible growth, difficult seasons, major pivots, and moments that tested us in ways I never could have imagined when we first opened our doors.
And through every chapter, one thing has remained true: we never stopped moving forward.
Over the last 16 years, we’ve continued to grow upward year after year, even when growth started looking different than it once did. At one point, success looked like opening more locations and expanding footprints. Today, success looks smarter. It looks more intentional. It looks like stronger centralized teams, better collaboration, better systems, and using technology to maximize what talented people can accomplish together.
The staffing industry, like most industries, has changed dramatically. Technology has reshaped recruiting, communication, operations, and efficiency. Tasks that once required large teams and multiple offices can now be accomplished by smaller groups of highly skilled people working together strategically. Instead of resisting change, we learned how to adapt with it.
Some of the greatest lessons these years taught us were about shedding what no longer worked, maximizing resources, and understanding that bigger is not always better. Smarter is better. Stronger is better. More connected is better. Sixteen years in business is an important milestone because it’s often around this stage that companies stop operating like startups and fully evolve into seasoned organizations. Many successful companies experienced defining turning points around this timeframe. Some shifted their structure, streamlined operations, embraced innovation, or repositioned themselves for long-term sustainability. Growth at this stage becomes less about proving you can survive and more about learning how to thrive wisely.
That resonates deeply with me. There were seasons where growth meant expansion. There were other seasons where growth meant refinement. Both mattered equally.
As a founder, I’ve learned that leadership is not about holding onto every version of the company you once were. It’s about having the courage to evolve into what the company needs next. Sometimes that means simplifying. Sometimes it means restructuring. Sometimes it means making difficult decisions today so your business is stronger tomorrow.
What I’m most proud of is that through all the changes, our mission has never changed.
We still believe staffing is about people first. We still believe relationships matter. We still believe companies deserve true partners, not just vendors. And we still believe that helping someone find the right opportunity can genuinely change the course of their life.
I’m also incredibly proud of the team that continues to build this company alongside me. The longer you stay in business, the more you realize success is never built by one person alone. It’s built by people who stay committed during difficult seasons, people who adapt, people who innovate, and people who care deeply about doing great work.
Sixteen years ago, I was a young woman with a vision, determination, and a willingness to outwork obstacles. Today, I’m still just as passionate about building something meaningful, but I lead with far more wisdom, perspective, and gratitude than I had back then.
To every client who trusted us, every candidate who allowed us to be part of their journey, every employee who poured their heart into this company, and every supporter who believed in us through the years.. THANK YOU! This anniversary is not just about celebrating longevity. It’s about celebrating resilience, evolution, and the ability to continue growing through every season.
And the best part is, we’re still building.
With gratitude,
Rebecca Kirkman
